Birthday Party Secara Besar-Besaran

It's the same every year.

Birthday celebration for my parents had always been the same every year : Just us - the adult kids, the parents and the food.

I wanted it to be different this year. When i suggested to belanja the whole family and the relatives to a makan session coz old folks like together-gatherness...My bro's response was ' everyone? wah...expensive whey...' . But he called me back mins later and agreed. I still remember what he said : ' Lets do it la! we can wait but dad probably couldnt......sigh. Lets invite everyone then'

I smiled! Yay!

It took me more than 2 weeks to plan , to inform everyone , and most importantly ...to find a nicey vegetarian restaurant that serves fuckerlicious food ( fuckerlicious means 'fucking delicious' , according to OKK)! and......Last Friday and Finally, the tiny surprise birthday dinner for my parents kicked off @ Nature's (Bangsar Telawi Street.)

I'm glad i found nature's. They serve very good non-ajinomoto vegetarian food. We did not take their so-called packaged 'offer' .Jelak already la! Instead , we make arrangments with them to serve dimsum at night ( they only serve dimsum on daytime) with some other side dishes.

The bad traffic condition compelled everyone to arrive unfashionably late on the actual day. My brother had to stall my parents by accompanying them window-shop in bangsar village while waiting for the whole kampung's arrival .

Alvin the cousin & his family was the 1st to arrive though.

Daddy and mommy were brought to the scene when everyone was already here. Of coz they were so surprised to see so many familiar faces greeting them at the restaurant la! They were all so excited that they actually spent 5 mins standing and chatting outside the restaurant!

It took us quite a while to 'clam' them down and get everyone comfortably seated .Aiyo so noisy la these aunties uncles headache headache!! Now i realised event planner is a tough job.

Makan time for the hungweeee souls! Here come the vegetarian dimsum! They taste real good.As good as G-O-O-D! O-yahor! LB, how come NO lohmaikai?? *frowns* We didnt order la. LMK is so SO SO yesterday !! :p

Other equally fuckerlicious dishes: curry mutton, dong-guai chicken(当归鸡) and err..dunno what wrapped-vege and 'sou mian' (寿面)( didnt take picture of the 寿面!i was too busy feeding myself like mad).

A little something for my beloved parents- I bought a picture frame from ikea and got everyone to pen down their greetings. My dad loves to read meaningful messages esp those sms forwarded message! haha... So i reckon this present will keep him busy for a while, he probably is reading everyone's greetings now and again...

tadaaaaaaaaaaa!! The finished artwork.- better than ICI or Nippon Paint. Something memorable to decotate the boring wall. =)

LooOOook! The kids simply love the jellycake! Everyone loves your jellycakes AL !! =) They kept asking me where i bought them. I said, tailor-made from Aily-Jelly :)

I'm glad and i love celebration secara besar-besaran and we shall do it again when my piggy bank is full. If only my piggy is bottomless. ......poor piggy:(
